2. Initial Meeting
Flat rate consultation. We learn about
your innovation, and advise you on the most effective way(s)
to use Intellectual Property protection in your particular
situation. We explain options, pros/cons, and costs so
you can make an informed decision. If patenting won't help,
we'll tell you. If there are things you can do to save
money, we'll tell you how.
3. Potential next steps
- Provisional Application: Optionally we craft and file a Provisional Application
for Patent – quickly and inexpensively obtaining "patent
pending" status.
- Patentability Search and Opinion: Search resulting in a full report with analysis, concluded
with a professional opinion on the patentability of your
creation.
- Patent Application: If likely to be patentable, we craft and file your patent
application (US and/or PCT/International).
- Prosecution Throughout the Patenting
Process: We will stay involved as your advocate throughout patent
prosecution until your patent issues. A critical part of
this process is to argue on your behalf with the Patent
Examiner to get a patent issued with the broadest possible
claims for your invention.
